2. The Purpose of Coating

Therefore, it is necessary to use finer pigments (about 1~2 in diameter) to coat the base paper.

Some data show that a coating weight of around 20g/m2 is sufficient to achieve the desired results. Sometimes considering the cost issue, if the coating is cheaper than the pulp, the coating amount can be increased appropriately; but too much coating amount will cause a certain gram weight of the white cardboard base paper to decrease, thereby reducing the thickness of the white cardboard, Stiffness and foldability.
